Privacy Policy
At CloudStream TV, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how CloudStream TV handles data, permissions, and credentials when you use our Android TV application.
1. Data Access & Collection
CloudStream TV does not collect, sell, or store any personal data. Our application operates purely as a client-side streaming utility. We do not maintain any user database, tracking scripts, or analytics on external servers.
2. Google Drive Permissions & Scopes
To browse and stream your media files, the app requests the following Google OAuth scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly: Strictly used to read file/folder metadata (file names, mime types, video thumbnails) and fetch media stream URLs for playback in ExoPlayer. The app never requests write, edit, or delete permissions.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email: Used exclusively to identify the signed-in account name on the TV user interface.
3. Data Use & Handling
Google user data is accessed solely to deliver the core user-facing functionality of CloudStream TV: listing user-owned media folders and streaming personal videos and photos on Android TV.
AI/ML Model Training Prohibitions: Raw or derived Google user data is NEVER used to train, develop, or improve AI/Machine Learning models, nor is it transferred to any third-party AI services.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
Limited Use Disclosure: CloudStream TV's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Data Transfer & Third-Party Sharing
CloudStream TV does NOT share, sell, transfer, or disclose any Google user data, tokens, or files to third-party companies, advertising networks, or data brokers.
6. Data Protection & Local Storage
All OAuth tokens and user preferences are stored securely on the user's Android TV device within private, encrypted application storage (SharedPreferences). Media streams are piped directly from Google servers to ExoPlayer over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
CloudStream TV does not retain user data on any central servers. Users can instantly delete all local data, cached history, and OAuth tokens at any time by selecting "Sign Out" or "Disconnect Account" in the app settings, or by clearing application data in Android TV system settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Since we do not collect any personal data, our app does not track or capture information from children and is fully compliant with family safety guidelines.
